About us

IDIOTROPA is a family business that was started in 1992 in Mylopotamos, Drama by Vassilis Chatzis and his wife Maria Tsiausidou. The beginning was made with the drying of Florinis pepper, while the popular "DRIED TOMATOES" soon followed.

With the increase in demand, we moved in 1999 to our new facilities in Kokkinogeia, Drama prefecture, thus strengthening our production capacity. In 2004 another expansion of our facilities followed.

The raw materials come exclusively from the Greek countryside, in collaboration with farmers in the region and other regions of Greece.

With an open mind to innovation, we continue to expand our range with new products such as dried fruit and dried vegetable pâté.

In 2013, the company passed into the hands of Fotini Chatzi, daughter of Vassilis and Maria, who is a Food Technologist graduate of ATEI Thessaloniki and continues the tradition of innovation in the business.

IDIOTROPA has ISO22000 certification and BIO products.
